About Storm

Dear Blogosphere,

2

It’s lovely to finally meet you face to face.

I’ve been stalking you forever. After spending half a year reading food blogs, I decided it was time to take our relationship to the next level.

So here I am 🙂

2

I suspect you’ll want to know a little about me before I hug you (sorry I’m a bit clingy, but I feel as though I know you so well already).

2

So here are: Ten (plus one!) things about me

2

Baking makes me happy.

Traveling is the best gift(s) I’ve given myself. Each time I visit a new place, I learn more about people than I ever did before and it’s exhilarating.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the best movie (x3) ever.

My cheesecake has been known to please a few. Here’s the recipe.

I’ve been best friends with my best friend for more than 20 years.

My Dad named me Storm because I was born on a stormy night.

If I had to choose my last meal, it would be mom’s mutton biryani.

Eggs are my favourite ingredient in the kitchen.

I can watch tv shows everyday for the rest of my life.

Dogs are the best and I’ll punch you in the face if you don’t love them.

I’m married to the best guy ever, who also happens to be an amazing photographer. Check out his work here. We currently reside in Jersey City, USA and we’re always planning our next holiday 🙂

2

Please come back for recipes, reviews, photographs and all my food adventures!

Can’t wait to share my world with you!

Love, (and a hug?)

Storm

  2. Hello,

I have a bit of a similar story to yours, I’ve been reading food blogs for ages.
Yours in particular, I might add. It’s just beautifully written, and so inspiring to complete novices like me!
I did finally take the plunge, and created my own little space a few weeks ago.
A few days back, I also baked for the very first time. No surprise there, tried a recipe I came across on your Blog itself – the Fudgy Chocolate Cake.
It turned out absolutely divine, so thank you for that. 🙂

Also, I love eggs, in fact, breakfast is my favourite meal of the day; I’m quite the TV show addict myself (but surprisingly, I don’t watch too much TV, I stream instead); and cupcakes are awesome, but not as awesome as Doughnuts.

Keep writing, I look forward to trying out some more of your recipes.

    1. Thank you so much for all the wonderful things you’ve said! You really made my day 🙂 Your blog is fabulous too! And I’m so glad the cake turned out well!
Also, you like doughnuts more than cupcakes?? Haha 🙂 Waiting for one of your recipes then, so that I can try it and see 😉 Have a super day sweetheart!

  3. This is my first blog ever. Love food with a passion but started experimenting with it only after I quit the corporate world and had my twin girls. And 27 seems like something that happened a long time ago (probably because it did!) Of all people, my husband came across someone who recommended this site and suggested that I take a look. I am so happy that I actually listened to him this time! I will be a regular visitor from now on. Thanks and keep up the good work.

  4. I am an ex (recently ex-ed, left my oh-so-demanding-no-time-for-anything job in advertising) advertising professional & now a full-time home architect (mother of two & wife) of a foood loving family. I was always a good cook but have recently started experimenting newer recipes. Came across your blog & have tried some recipes from ur blog as well.
Looking forward to learning & experimenting more with you :))

  5. Sweetheart, I think you already know this, but saying it again won’t hurt anybody — your blog is awesome, and I check it everyday. Keep cooking, baking and writing. 🙂

  7. Hey Storm,

A friend just forwarded your blog to me and I fell in love with it instantly. Your daring, yet surprisingly simple recipes, have made me want to bake something immediately. But can’t help it, am at work right now.

I turned 27 several years back. Was scared then, but not anymore 🙂

  8. Hi Welcome to blogsvadle,

I’m in love with your blog I love food although a wee too much but I’m working on it. Coming across blogs like yours make me look forward to preparing more home cooked meals.

  9. Hi Stormie,
write something about “meat, wonderful meat, red and glorious meat. Can’t live without ‘eat’. that fantastic meat.”
(pardon the po-eat-ic license) But just write ‘eat’ anyway!!!!!.

  10. Hey Storm!
Its obvious that you have found ‘your blogging voice’!
Reading this blog is very interesting and encouraging especially for a newbie like me.
    Keep up the good work!
(P.S: I too am an incurable TV show addict!)

Something to say?
